Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 2822 – Chesterfield, VA
Established in 1976, we’re a family-focused Cub Scout pack serving the Chesterfield and Midlothian communities. We're open to all kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade, where we focus on fun, learning, leadership, and outdoor adventure.
Whether it's building Pinewood Derby cars, hiking local trails, or giving back to the community, we help Scouts grow into their best selves—while having a blast along the way.
The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The aims of scouting are character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership.
What Do Scouts Do?
Go camping and hiking
Family is important part of Cub Scouting and all of our activities are open for families to join in.
Build and race Pinewood Derby cars
We have winners for not just fastest car in each den or the pack overall, but also for creativity. We have our audience vote on the cars for best craftsmanship, most humorous, and most creative. Parents and siblings can join the fun with our Outlaw division.
Earn achievements through hands-on activities
To earn their rank, there are six required adventures and two elective adventures. The required electives are on character & leadership, outdoors, personal fitness, citizenship, personal safety, and family & reverence.
Help in our community
We help our community through buying toys for Toys for Tots, supporting a local assisted living center, and through community service projects for our hosting location.
Make friends and build confidence
In belonging to a den, the group of scouts work together to develop new skills and interests. They learn to do their best no just for themselves, but also for the den.
